With a $38 million deal, the Falcons officially traded Bradberry to the Eagles.

The James Bradberry era may be coming to a close for the Philadelphia Eagles, even if no other team is willing to take on his large contract.

Just a full season after signing a three-year, $38 million contract in 2023, the Pro Bowl cornerback put forth the worst season of his career. Now, the Eagles appear to be looking for ways to get out of his contract.

And only one team seems even remotely prepared to oblige.

Bleacher Report’s Derrik Klassen took a look at ways to fill a few team’s biggest remaining roster holes and linked Bradberry to the Atlanta Falcons if the Eagles want to move him.

“AJ Terrell needs some help. Despite being one of the brightest young cornerbacks in the game, his impact can often feel muted because teams can just throw away from him,” Klassen said. “That’s been true for most of his time in Atlanta.

The difficult part for any Bradberry trade is the fact that the Eagles still owe him plenty of money – although most of that came before the June 1 deadline.

Following June 1, any trade or release of Bradberry would save the Eagles over $3 million in cap space. A trade would force them to eat around $1 million but a release would give them a clean break.

It may not seem like much, but it could be enough to entice a team like the Falcons to try and make a deal.

The Chiefs’ Disastrous 2024 Offseason Continued Sunday Morning

The Kansas City Chiefs are the reigning Super Bowl champions, having defeated the San Francisco 49ers in Las Vegas in February, but their offseason has been one to forget.

On Sunday morning, it continued.

Chiefs player Isaiah Buggs was arrested on disturbing charges on Sunday morning. He was reportedly arrested in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on charges of second-degree domestic violence with a burglary designation.

This is unfortunately the latest in a long line of troubling offseason storylines for the Chiefs.

Here’s a roundup of what’s happened leading up to Sunday morning:

  • Wide receiver Rashee Rice being involved in a hit-and-run
  • Wide receiver Rashee Rice allegedly punching a photographer
  • Kicker Harrison Butker taking shots at Pride Month, the transgender community and giving controversial advice to women during his commencement speech
  • Wanya Morris and Chukwuebuka Godrick being arrested for marijuana possession
  • Isiah Buggs being accused of animal cruelty

All NFL teams have offseason issues – these are grown men who are responsible for their own decisions – but few teams, if any, have hade more problematic headlines than the Chiefs.
