Seth Rollins returns for Title Match; Drew McIntyre “quits” company

In a dual set of incidents, one top WWE The post-Clash at the Castle edition of Raw kicked off with the return of Seth Rollins which marked his first appearance on WWE programming since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40. returned on the latest episode of Monday Night Raw to secure a shot at the World Heavyweight Title while the former challenger for the title left the WWE.

The post-Clash at the Castle edition of Raw kicked off with the return of Seth Rollins which marked his first appearance on WWE programming since losing the World Heavyweight Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.

Revealing himself to be the host for the night, Rollins proceeded to mention that he’s back for only one reason – to be the absolute greatest of all time and that he wants to reclaim the World Heavyweight Championship.

Rollins was initially intending to enter the Money in the Bank ladder match to earn a contract for a future title match opportunity. However, the world champion Damian Priest came out as the two exchanged words.

Priest readily granted Rollins a title shot at Money in the Bank. Rollins believed that Priest’s offer was a ruse for Judgment Day to attack him, but Priest assured him that his cohorts had nothing to do with him making the offer.

With that, Seth Rollins vs. Damian Priest for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship was announced for the 2024 Money in the Bank premium live event. This was the first match announced for the PLE apart from the two titular Ladder Matches.

In more news from Raw, Drew McIntyre has “quit” WWE from a kayfabe perspective. Originally slated for a promo segment, he “walked out” of the company on Monday’s show, and further deactivated his social media profiles.
