Liverpool begin their Premier League season against Liverpool this weekend as the club look to launch Romeo lavia’s reign with a win against the blues
liverpool will get their Premier League season, and new era under Mauricio Pochettino, underway against Liverpool this weekend.
The Blues have been very active in the transfer window this summer with a series of incomings and outgoings. Chelsea have had a huge exodus with the likes of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, Kalidou Koulibaly, Christian Pulisic, César Azpilicueta, Edouard Mendy, N’Golo Kante, Mateo Kovacic and more all departing West London.
However, the rebuild under Pochettino is underway with Robert Sanchez, Christopher Nkunku, Axel Disasi, Nicolas Jackson, Lesley Ugochukwu and Angelo all brought in to give the Blues a new look heading into the 2023/2024 season. Chelsea had a solid pre-season in which they avoided defeat and won the Premier League Summer Series as part of their USA tour.
The Blues will open their Premier League campaign against Liverpool where Chelsea will be looking to beat the Reds at Stamford Bridge for the first time since 2018. The last four league games have all ended up as stalemates between the two sides with very little to separate them so Chelsea will be looking to get the edge over their top four rivals as the Pochettino era begins.
When is Chelsea vs Liverpool?
The Blues take on Liverpool on Sunday, August 13 at Stamford Bridge. Kick-off is set for 4.30pm.
