It is clear that after narrowly avoiding relegation in the previous campaign they needed reinforcements to avoid a similar struggle ahead of the 2023/24 season. Lilywhites looking to Seal Johnson Signing

Ange Postecoglou’s side have had an impressive start to the season but there is question marks around the forward areas, with Richarlison’s goal output seen as a major obstacle to the club’s ambitions this season. The hierarchy at Forest needs to sanction a departure to get the three deadline-day incomings over the line, so it seems a deal for Johnson will be completed today.

The 22-year-old Wales international scored eight premier league goals, provided three assists in the 2022/23 term, and was the key player for his side. If a deal is complete, his numbers would be expected to continue to grow with better players around him in Spurs’ forward line.

New Signings Set to Improve Squad Depth

If Cooper’s side can seal the three reported deals then it will lead to improvements across the team. Sangare will be a significant upgrade to the current central midfield options. It is clear why he will cost a reported £31.5 million per Romano’s report. The 25-year-old Ivory Coast international is a key player at his current club and recently scored in the 2-2 Champions League qualifying draw with Rangers and played 90 minutes in the 5-1 return leg victory as PSV qualified for the group stages.

Despite being a holding midfield player by trade, Sangare scored six goals in all competitions for the Dutch side last season, showcasing his all-round ability. Additionally, Hudson-Odoi would be expected to fill some of the void left by Johnson’s departure to North London with Vlachodimos competing with Matt Turner for the number one jersey.
