BBC NEWS: Everton defender Ben Godfrey, has finally decided to sign a new contract with Rangers in January as opposed to Newcastle United.

Rangers want to sign out-of-favor Everton defender Ben Godfrey in the January transfer window, according to a report by 90 Minutes.

Writing on their website on November 8, the news outlet reported that the Toffees are open to selling the 25-year-old this winter, considering he has featured for just one minute in the Premier League this season.

But Rangers will face competition from the likes of Newcastle, Tottenham, Crystal Palace, Bournemouth, and Burnley to get a deal done, although he wants to leave for more regular football.

Everton defender Ben Godfrey is emerging as a transfer target for several Premier League sides, including Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, sources have e confirme.

“Godfrey is keen to reignite his flailing top-flight career, and Everton are now willing to listen to offers for him.
