INCREDIBLE DEAL: Liverpool player completes last-minute loan move just before yesterday’s deadline

Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton completed a late loan move to Hull City last night.

The 20-year-old had been reported to be on his way to Humberside earlier on transfer deadline day yesterday. But as the 11pm cut-off drew nearer, there was no sign of anything being completed.

That was until 11:45pm, when liverpoolfc.com posted an official announcement that Morton had left for the season.

Morton makes Hull move

Although Morton got his loan deal in the end, there were a couple of young Reds who didn’t manage it.

As well as the Hull man, Luke Chambers and Bobby Clark were both reportedly expected to leave Anfield temporarily.

But despite deadline day interest in Clark from Derby, both players stayed put.

With Liverpool’s Europa League group looking – with all due respect to the teams involved – relatively straightforward, it will be interesting to see if either are given minutes when that competition gets going.

For Morton though, he’ll surely be looking forward to having another crack at the Championship.

The midfielder seems to be something of a go-getter. And after being called ‘incredible’ by Jurgen Klopp a year ago [The Times], he now needs to kick on and show that he can be a viable option for Liverpool.

As long as he stays fit, you’d back Morton to do that. Klopp is already a fan of his. Show more development at Hull, and he could be in the Liverpool first-team this time next year.
