Key Rangers star Todd Cantwell has dropped an injury hint on Instagram as he prepares to return after what will be seven weeks out of the side.
The ex-Norwich City star, 25, hasn’t been seen since the devastating 1-0 defeat to Celtic back at the beginning of September and has so far spent over five weeks on the sidelines.
But by the time that Rangers return to action after the international break against Hibs at Ibrox – hopefully with a new manager in tow – it’ll be almost seven weeks since the club last seen Todd Cantwell due to the injury.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Todd Cantwell dropped a major hint he was going to return to Ibrox directly by sharing a video of the stadium with the caption “home”.
The hint will come as a sizeable boost to Rangers and the club’s potential new manager with Todd Cantwell one of eight players currently out with injury.
Rangers have sorely missed the influence of the playmaker who hasn’t quite hit the heights he did in the second half of last season after first joining the Gers.
The pressure will be on Todd Cantwell to re-find the form that made him a fan favourite in Glasgow and Rangers fans will be expecting the midfielder to bounce back from injury strongly.
Rangers are already out of the Champions League and are up against it to remain in the Europa League after defeat to Aris Limassol.
Most importantly, the club are also seven points behind in the Scottish Premiership and fundamentally cannot afford to drop any further behind Celtic in the title race.
