Winter market reporter Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland reports that Nottingham Forest is still pursuing Giovanni Reyna of Borussia Dortmund.
He claimed that the Tricky Trees and the winger have a “total verbal agreement” on X, the platform that was formerly known as Twitter.
Nuno Espírito Santo, the manager of Nottingham Forest, is represented by sJorge Mende, who is also the 21-year-old’s new agent. The parties’ positive rapport will have aided in coming to a verbal agreement.
The Premier League team must now reach an agreement with BVB in order to sign the American on loan. The two clubs are in talks, according to Plettenberg, but no deal has been reached yet. He continues, saying that Nuno Espírito Santo’s team is eager to include a buyout option.
This season, Reyna has played in 13 games for a total of 337 minutes, with just one league start. The fact that Jadon Sancho joined the Bundesliga team earlier this month will further lessen the likelihood of him playing frequently.
According to the journalist, the attacker is “keen to leave” the German team and Nottingham Forest is working hard to sign him before the end of his contract in 2025.
