Leeds United close to further transfer agreements with….

Leeds United are said to have multiple signings lined up to be given the go-ahead this week following confirmation that the 49ers Enterprises takeover has gone through.

Monday evening brought confirmation from the Whites that the 49ers’ agreed takeover of the club had finally been ratified by the EFL

With that, has come immediate work to be put in place by the club to rebuild the side following relegation.

Ethan Ampadu imminent

It was reported yesterday by The Athletic that Leeds had reached an agreement for Ethan Ampadu to join from Chelsea on a permanent deal, costing the club an initial £7million.

A medical is expected to get underway today with an announcement to shortly follow, marking the first senior signing of the 49ers era, with Daniel Farke in charge.

Will more be joining Ampadu soon?

The Yorkshire Evening Post’s Graham Smyth has now shared firther insight suggesting an influx of players could be looming at Leeds, following the takeover by the 49ers.

He writes:

“A green light from the governing body was always expected though and 49ers Enterprises have pressed on with their plans in the background, albeit requiring Andrea Radrizzani’s say-so for the appointment of Daniel Farke.

“Outgoing transfer business – mostly in the form of loans it has to be said – has continued throughout the last few weeks and although incoming signings have been lined up behind the scenes, it was only when it became clear that EFL approval was imminent that news broke of Ethan Ampadu’s permanent move from Chelsea.”

Happy with Ampadu?

It was always going to be the case with the 49ers that they would have things working in the background before they took over officially.

Now that this is in place, we are surely going to be pressing on with new signings as quickly as possible, because we need plenty in the door.

You would hope that we have at least four or five completed before the season starts in August, and then more before the window shuts.

Can you remember Leeds United’s most recent result against their 23/24 Championship rivals
