BREAKING NEWS:Leeds United striker entering the final year of his contract finally Quit…….

Leeds United striker Rodrigo Moreno is reportedly set to quit Elland Road following the club’s relegation from the Premier League, as revealed by Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider.

The Spanish striker joined Leeds in 2020 from Spanish outfit Valencia for a club-record fee of £27 million. Since arriving, he has made 88 appearances at Elland Road, scoring 26 goals. Last season, 31 of those appearances came for the Whites in the Premier League, although his 13 goals were not enough to save the side from the drop.

However, since their relegation, it is believed that the 32-year-old is set to quit Elland Road with a number of clubs linked with moves for the striker, including former club Real Madrid where he began his career, although the Spaniard was limited to appearances with the reserves in the Spanish capital.

The striker has also been linked with a return to the Premier League, with Fulham and Everton joining the interested parties vying for the forward’s signature this summer. It is understood that Rodrigo has a release clause of around £3 million due to the club’s relegation, meaning Leeds are set to lose a large sum on one of their star players.

With Rodrigo entering the final year of his contract, it is believed that his wages could be an obstacle in Fulham’s pursuit of the striker; however, they are thought to be willing to offer Carlos Vinicius and Rodrigo Muniz in their bid to sign their target. Whether those players would be part of the deal with the Championship club or if they would be offloaded is not known at this time.

Rodrigo may be 32, but last season, he had his best return in a Leeds shirt since he arrived at Elland Road. And that has put clubs across Europe on alert, especially at such a low price as his release clause. If Rodrigo can replicate the performances that he displayed in a poor Leeds side for another club, he could be a bargain signing.
