Nottingham Forest striker Emmanuel Dennis is now on the radar of Turkish outfit Trabzonspor. The Reds player will hope to get a move before the transfer windows shut across Europe.
The Reds have transfer-listed the Nigerian performer. He doesn’t even train with the senior ranks these days and is now surplus to requirements.
Now, Sports Digitale claims that the biggest interest comes from Turkey. Earlier it was claimed that Saudi Arabian club Al-Ta’ee were the strongest club interested.
Dennis would surely welcome the chance to leave Forest. He scored just two goals last season and failed to hold down a regular starting berth.
After a £15 million move from Watford, more was expected of the 25-year-old. He has never seemingly convinced Steve Cooper and won’t play a part this season.
The riches on offer would surely entice Dennis to Saudi Arabia. However, he’s unlikely to decline a move to Turkey if it means playing regular football.
Dennis earns £40,000-a-week at Forest and getting that away from the wage bill would definitely be helpful after a summer of spending.
Forest striker Dennis could go to Turkey
This would be a great move for all parties. Dennis would likely get to increase his salary, whilst Forest would get a surplus player off their books.
It simply hasn’t worked out for Dennis at Forest. He signed having scored 10 goals in the Premier League but he didn’t suit Cooper’s style at all.
Dennis isn’t a bad player. He’s simply guilty of the fact that Forest opted to play with a formation last season that didn’t see him play much.
Hopefully, this deal can take place. Dennis needs to play football this season and hopefully, a resolution can happen in the best interests of everyone.
