On deadline day, Nottingham Forest allowed Remo Freuler to join Bologna on a loan deal with an obligation to buy if certain set conditions are met, and as a part of the operation, the Tricky Trees signed Nicolás Domínguez on a permanent transfer.
The Switzerland international leaves the Premier League side a year after arriving at the City Ground from Atalanta.
Despite featuring regularly [33 appearances] last season, Watson say the 31-year-old decided to look for a solution with Nottingham Forest as midfield was already overcrowded at the English club.
The outlet have also relayed comments from Freuler, who expressed his disappointment over a delay in his move to the Serie A side.
“The change then dragged on, but I never trembled that it wouldn’t work. It’s just a shame that I’m only really getting started now,” he said.
Freuler hasn’t made an appearance for Steve Cooper’s side this season but still received a call up from Switzerland manager Murat Yakin for the ongoing international break.
