The Kansas City Chiefs officially confirmed two trades Ahead of the deadline

The Kansas City Chiefs have already made their moves ahead of the trade deadline, and it was no surprise GM Brett Veach pulled off two trades before Nov. 5. Kansas City added wideout DeAndre Hopkins and linebacker Joshua Uche. But the Chiefs still might not be done.

Catch up on what you need to know on the Chiefs:

• Russini: What I’m hearing before the trade deadline

If a wide receiver falls into the Chiefs’ laps, I’m told they are going to try to land another one with Skyy Moore on injured reserve.

• What can the Chiefs expect from Joshua Uche

The Chiefs are optimistic that Uche can play a limited role in Monday night’s game.

• Josh Uche trade grades

Uche has top-tier pass-rushing potential, evidenced by his 11 1/2 sacks in 2022.

• Chiefs offense puts the defense in another impossible situation? No problem

A goal-line stand against the Raiders was just the latest example of Kansas City’s ultra-confident defense bailing out the offense.

Somehow, some way, the Kansas City Chiefs are 7-0.

The two-time defending Super Bowl champions are used to winning, but the 2024 season has been different despite the perfect record. The Chiefs have yet to crack 30 points and have at least one turnover in every game. Four of their seven wins have come by one possession.

With most of Week 9 in the books, the NFL has officially hit the halfway point of the regular season. The league has played 137 of the 272 scheduled games for the 2024 season. If you feel like you can’t name more than a handful of teams you trust to be good on a weekly basis, well, you’re not the only one.

It might be easier to spot the teams that haven’t lived up to expectations, and they each had bad days in Week 9. While the Jets pulled out a victory over the Texans on Thursday night, six teams that have losing records in 2024 after posting winning records last season all lost in frustrating fashion Sunday.
