DEAL Ole Werner is seemingly annoyed at fitness, with the former Liverpool man yet to play for his new club.

Werder Bremen manager Ole Werner is seemingly annoyed at Naby Keita’s fitness, with the former Liverpool man yet to play for his new club.

Speaking to Fussball News, the Bundesliga coach detailed his frustration about the 28-year-old being behind schedule with his fitness having picked up an injury in pre-season.

Keita signed for Bremen as a free agent after being released by Liverpool this summer, and the midfielder is yet to make any impact at his new club since joining.

Fans have already grown frustrated at Keita, and Werner is now seemingly annoyed too at the midfielder’s lack of fitness, with the Guinean star some way off from returning.

The Bremen boss said: “Of course, you can take a player with you to have him with you in the hotel or for two or three minutes if the course of the game allows it.“It is not the case that after one week of team training, and not even completely, you take a player with you who has been injured for two months.

Keita’s injury problems plagued the midfielder’s entire spell with Liverpool, and now at Bremen, the same issues persist for the 28-year-old player.

There’s no denying that Keita is a talented player with the potential to become a superstar again in Germany, and Bremen need to be aware of this fact.

Time and patience will help great for Bremen if they’re to get the best out of Keita, and the midfielder himself will be keen to return to action once fully fit again.
