Former A’s pitcher Ron Darling declared one word ownership manages the team

Pitcher Ron Darling is most commonly associated with the New York Mets, for whom he frequently delivers analysis on SNY, among other teams.

Darling did, however, play parts of five seasons with the Oakland Athletics in the later stages of his baseball career. With the exception of a 1992 division title, the clubs he played for weren’t very good, but he added 37 victories to round off a respectable career.

Due to his past with the Athletics, Darling was uniquely qualified to respond to the news that the team would soon be temporarily moving to Sacramento when it was announced on Thursday before the Mets’ game against the Detroit Tigers.

When asked how he felt about the move, Darling responded, “I have to say, being a guy that wore that uniform, just appalled at the things that have happened in the last six months with that organisation.
