JUST NOW: Leicester City predicted line-up v Rotherham as Cesare Casadei and Wilfred Ndidi battl….

How Leicester City could line up against the Millers as Enzo Maresca looks to lead his team to a fourth straight Championship victory and keep them in the automatic promotion spots

Cesare Casadei will be pushing for his first Leicester City start at Rotherham but may have to play back-up to Wilfred Ndidi once again.

Casadei made a superb start to life at the King Power Stadium last weekend, popping up in injury time to slam home the winner against Cardiff. It came at the end of a half-hour substitute appearance for the young Italian, and he will be hoping it is enough to get a maiden start.

At Friday’s press conference Maresca saluted Casadei’s alertness to finish even as the rest of his team-mates appealed for a penalty after Jamie Vardy went tumbling in the box. But there were also words of praise for Ndidi and how he is adapting to the number eight role, and it could be the Nigerian that gets the nod again.

Dennis Praet, Kasey McAteer – Leicester City injury update ahead of Rotherham clash

“Wilfred is doing something different compared to what he was doing in the past but I think he can do that,” Maresca said on Friday. “He arrives in the box, he is always ready to attack, and he at least always tries to create problems for the opponent.

It may be that the whole is unchanged as City look to try to extend their winning run to five matches. The only other potential changes could come in the front-line, where there’s a battle between Kelechi Iheanacho and Jamie Vardy for the striker spot, with Vardy again doing well off the bench against Cardiff.

On the right, Kasey McAteer’s return to training gives Maresca another option there, but with Wanya Marcal scoring his first goal for the club last time out, the Portuguese is more likely to continue in the position.
