Salernitana fired their coach again after it was reported the team were officially relegated from Serie A.

Salernitana have officially been relegated from Serie A to Serie B following the conclusion of Friday evening’s 3-0 loss to Frosinone at the Stadio Benito Stirpe

After 34 matches of the 2023-24 Serie A season, Salernitana are rooted to the bottom of the table with a tally of just 15 points.

 

Friday’s opponents have temporarily lifted themselves out of the relegation zone and into 17th place with 31 points, which means that it is now mathematically impossible for Salernitana to catch them with four league games remaining this term.

 

The Granata are the first Serie A side to go down in 2023-24. Two more will follow them by the end of the season, and as it stands on Friday evening, all the teams below Monza in 11th place are not yet mathematically safe.
